The brief
Working with brand identity and packaging designer Jason Ching, we were brought in to create CGI imagery for Dermatology M – a natural skincare brand built around considered formulations, clean ingredients and design that lets the product speak for itself.
Jason’s packaging work is characterised by simplicity, elegance and restraint. Our job was to honour that – producing CGI that matched the precision and quiet confidence of the brand identity he’d created.
An exploration in detail
The title of this piece isn’t accidental. Detail is everything with work like this. The tactile quality of a label. The weight implied by a glass bottle. The way light sits on a clean white surface without flattening it. These are the details that separate imagery that looks premium from imagery that merely looks expensive.
For a natural skincare brand, authenticity matters as much as aesthetics. The CGI had to feel real – not clinical, not over-rendered, not artificially perfect. It had to carry the same sense of care and craft that defines both the product and Jason’s design work.
Why CGI for skincare packaging
Glass, paper, foil, matte finishes – skincare packaging presents some of the most technically demanding surfaces in CGI production. CGI gives us complete control: over light, over surface rendering, over the precise relationship between materials in a single composition.
The result is a set of images that feel considered from every angle – as thoughtful as the brand itself.
